Hi Everyone,
It was great to see such a large audience welcome back the four GSAPP alumni who spoke about their work at Monday night’s event, The Expanded Field of Urban Design. We hope you found the presentations stimulating, and the reception a good opportunity to catch up with friends and meet other alumni.
A special thanks to all of you who, on camera, offered your thoughts about urban practice, pedagogy, and GSAPP’s Urban Design program. We will keep you posted about how these interviews will be shared. But in the meantime, you can check out photos of the event.
Looking ahead, please join us at the GSAPP Alumni Summer Social at MoMA PS1 on August 10. Check out the link below for more information and to register to attend.
On September 21, we hope to see you back on campus as GSAPP and the UD program celebrate the release of Professor Richard Plunz’s latest book, City Riffs: Urbanism, Ecology, Place, a critical set of essays about global change.
Finally, save October 7 for an Urban Design, Hudson Valley event in Kingston, New York. Along with the SS Columbia Project, the UD program is sponsoring an afternoon of discussions with community leaders, elected officials, and design professionals about water, development, and regionalism. More info to follow soon.
And don’t forget, we also want to keep you involved with the UD program through GSAPP’s Career Services, run by Francesca Fanelli, who introduced herself at Monday’s event. More info below.
