The Spring 2021 Advanced VI Architecture studio titled “Mark-Marking and Place-Keeping: Erasure, Emergence, and Imagination" taught by Faculty Justin Garrett Moore ‘04 MARCH MSAUD and Alicia Olushola Ajay is featured in the latest issue of the AIA New York’s Oculus Magazine.

This studio charged designers to define a mission and vision for architecture as a practice and develop an anti-racist and decolonial approach for contributing to communities, cities, and environments that have been marked by erasure and neglect.

This fall term B course, led by Professor Joy Fairbanks, is an incubator for startups making a tangible impact on people or the planet. The spirit of the course is to foster cross-campus access and collaboration to leverage Columbia talent and resources to build your team, access any necessary technology, advance your venture, and gain investor interest.

• Columbia University students, alumni, faculty, and researchers are invited to apply for the Tamer Fund for Social Ventures by August 15, 2021. This fund provides seed grants of up to $25,000 to nonprofit, for-profit, and hybrid early-stage social and environmental ventures. A live information session will be held on July 27 at 1pm.
