• WORK-IN-PROGRESS an exhibition by LOT-EK the firm of faculty Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano opens at MIT Architecture Keller Gallery, on view November 3, December 13, 2024. Learn more.

• Frederick Kiesler: Vision Machines, curated by faculty Mark Wasiuta is on view at the Graham Foundation through March 15, 2025. On Thursday, November 7, Wasiuta will present Frederick Kiesler’s experimental design practice through the activities of his Laboratory for Design Correlation at Columbia University from the late 1930s to the early 1940s.

• Dean Emeritus Bernard Tschumi’s “Event-Cities 5” (MIT Press, 2024), the fifth and final volume in the series documenting his work, launches November 12, 2024.

• Listening Table: Post-Election edition (in-person): The purpose of the Listening Tables is to help chart a new compact for civic dialogue and understanding on campus. Faculty, staff, and experienced students are encouraged to volunteer to host as neutral facilitators of discussion, or to simply be present for small-group conversations at the tables. • Citizen-Leaders: A Conversation with the Obama Foundation Scholars (in-person): Columbia’s Obama Foundation Scholars will lead a discussion about active citizenship and the power to effect change in our communities. • The Votes are In: Reflection on the Election (virtual): this post-election webinar will discuss and consider the potential impact of the 2024 U.S. Election.
