Larissa Belova ’09 MSRED has recently been appointed Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at UBS Asset Management. In this newly created role within the company’s U.S. branch, she will lead real estate investment strategy, acquisitions, asset management, and finance, supporting its expansion in the sector. This also aligns with the company’s broader focus on ‘nature-positive strategies’, a model aimed at reducing environmental impact and advancing low-carbon investments. Belova’s role highlights the increasing overlap between investment strategy and the built environment, particularly in how buildings impact biodiversity and carbon emissions—an intersection that is crucial to shaping the future of cities.

The Career Fair is a key event for MSRED students, demonstrating the program’s important focus on building stronger alumni and employer relationships, and facilitating internships and job opportunities with outstanding companies in the real estate industry. This year’s career fair will take place on Friday, April 4 beginning at 9:00 AM at Faculty House, on Columbia’s Morningside campus.
