After a few full weeks of finals, presentations, and commencement events, the MSRED Class of 2025 is stepping directly into the world they have been preparing to shape. Echoing the Dean’s remarks at this Wednesday’s University-wide graduation, these students are ready—already engaging with urgent, site-specific conditions through development proposals, competition-winning projects, and early professional roles. Their work reflects development not only as a financial framework, but as a spatial and social practice: a way of negotiating land, scale, and form within the complexities of contemporary urbanism.

Announced at GSAPP’s ceremony was the recipient of the annual Din Family Scholars Prize, awarded to Khant Paing Soe ’25 MSRED for highest academic attainment in the program. Established by Johnny Din ’14 MSRED—this year’s Distinguished Alumnus—the prize contributes to a generative structure: alumni shaping the frameworks that sustain and propel future cohorts.

The majority of 2025 MSRED graduates has already transitioned into roles across the U.S. and internationally. Some are joining firms focused on ground-up development; others are entering asset management, capital structuring, or acquisitions. Together, they step into a shifting market with the tools to read, shape, and respond to its changing conditions.

As the semester closed, it opened new arenas of visibility—in Miami and Toronto—where development was not only studied but enacted, negotiated, and recognized. For the MSRED Class of 2025, these competitions became platforms to prototype strategies and engage with land, equity, and long-term value—recasting real estate as a spatial, political, and social practice.

Nikolaos Kalteziotis ’25 MSRED, Dhruv Korde ’25 MSRED, Juan Felipe Herrera ’25 MSRED, and Nikoletta Zakynthinou Xanthi ’25 MSAAD won first place at the 2025 Impact Investing in Commercial Real Estate Competition, hosted by the University of Miami, with their proposal Manhattanville Impact. And just weeks later, Michael-Daniel Oded ’25 MSRED, Gibson Bell ’25 MSRED, Amnay Khosla ’25 MSRED, and Ghanim Alghanim ’25 MSRED placed second at Developer’s Den XV, hosted by York University’s Schulich School of Business. Their project, Paddock Park, proposed an integrated approach to mid-density housing and long-term leasehold value creation.

Chelsea Mehra ‘25 MSRED, Shinbee Park ’25 MSRED and Iris Haastrup ‘25 MSRED have been named 2025 WX Scholars, joining a wider GSAPP ecosystem of women reshaping real estate practice across the New York region. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
