Columbia GSAPP is pleased to announce the formation of the new [Center for Resilient Cities and Landscapes](https://www.arch.columbia.edu/research/centers/4-center-for-resilient-cities-and-landscapes) directed by Kate Orff, Associate Professor and Director of GSAPP’s Architecture and Urban Design program, with Managing Director Thaddeus Pawlowski. The Center's inaugural project will be the creation of a groundbreaking Resilience Accelerator in partnership with [100 Resilient Cities (100RC)]( https://www.100resilientcities.org/resilience-accelerator/) – pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation. On Thursday, February 15, the Spring 2018 Core Lecture Series continues with a talk by artist Thomas Demand. Antonio Cruz of Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos will deliver the Paul S. Byard Memorial Lecture on Monday, February 19.
