GSAPP is excited to present a survey celebrating Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine’s unparalleled career to date with a screening program and reception on Sunday, November 13, and a lecture on Monday, November 14 in Wood Auditorium. The program features an engaging body of work that spans their distinct 15-year oeuvre and is renowned for disrupting typical representations of contemporary architecture and the urban environment: Koolhaas HouseLife (2008), Barbicania (2014), The Infinite Happiness (2015), Moriyama-San (2017), and Tokyo Ride (2020). Following the lecture, the filmmakers will be joined in conversation by Mark Wasiuta, Co-Director of the Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices Program at GSAPP.

• Associate Professor David Benjamin ‘05 MArch will deliver the Harwell Hamilton Harris Lecture at North Carolina State School of Architecture on November 7, 2022 4:30pm. Join on Zoom.

• Urban Planning Program Director and Professor Weiping Wu will deliver a virtual lecture on “China Urbanizing: Impacts and Transitions” hosted by The University of Hong Kong on November 11. Details and registration info here.

• The exhibition Model Behavior at Cooper Union runs through November 18 and features models by AGENCY Architecture (Faculty Eresla Kripa '06 MSAAD and Stephen Mueller '06 MSAAD); MOS (Professor Hilary Sample and Michael Meredith); and N H D M (Faculty Nahyun Hwang and David Eugin Moon).

• Columbia University School of the Arts, Columbia Climate Imaginations Network, and NRDC’s Rewrite the Future are hosting a panel discussion on climate storytelling in film and TV on November 15th from 7–9pm at the Lenfest Center for the Arts. The panel features Miguel Arteta (Filmmaker), Meehan Crist (Author and writer-in-residence, Columbia University), Daniel Hinerfeld (Rewrite the Future), and Meredith Milton (Rewrite the Future).
