Dear Alum: It is hard to believe we’re halfway through another semester. We are grateful for all the alumni who have stopped by and kept us up to date on their adventures after the program. There are a number of upcoming events that are both entertaining and enlightening that we hope you’ll consider attending. Our Spring alumni/student mixer will take place on Friday, April 19 from 7pm to 10pm at Row House, 2128 Frederick Douglass Boulevard at 115 St. This year we will also be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of our award-winning publication, URBAN Magazine at the event. To help us stay connected with you, please complete [this form] (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe-B3z3qyFpFrdh1e9uEmSfsCQ6myIQqLZiex7pZpS6NTlKzQ/viewform) by Sunday, March 31, to RSVP to the student/alumni mixer, share updates, photos, and news you would like to feature in the Semester in Review newsletter, and also to let us know if you are interested in participating in our Fall 2024 programming. Hope to see you at the APA Conference! The national conference of the American Planning Association is April 13-15, 2024 in Minneapolis. The panels are always engrossing and as in past years, the UP Program will be organizing an alumni reception at the conference Saturday, April 13, at 6:30-8:30pm — an enjoyable way to reconnect with faculty, friends, and classmates. We hope to see many of you there and you can see details and [sign up] (https://www.arch.columbia.edu/events/3369-gsapp-apa-alumni-reception) on the event page. Thank you very much for your time and for all you do to support our program. It has been successful very much due to the contributions of our alums—those coming to our Career Fair, acting as mentors, helping us organize office visits, and more. We look forward to expanding these contacts with you. Please feel free to reach out with any updates, questions, or suggestions. And keep coming by when you’re on campus. It’s always a great pleasure seeing our alums and learning about your experiences.
