**Emanuele Coccia**, philosopher and associate professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, will deliver the lecture "Architecture of Intimacy and Identity: Fashion As the Construction of the Moral Space." [Alireza Karbasioun] (/phd-students/3806-alireza-karbasioun) will provide the introduction and will be joined by [Nerea Calvillo](/faculty/2233-nerea-calvillo) to provide a response following the presentation and host a Q&A session. **Emanuele Coccia** is associate professor at l'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. He is the author of _The Life of Plants_ (2018), _Metamorphosis_ (2021) and _Philosophy of the Home_ (2024). His books are translated into several languages. He has collaborated with many artists. He recently published a photo-theory book with Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen (_Modern Alchemy_, 2022), a philosophical epistolary on light with photographer Paolo Roversi (_Lettres sur la lumières_, 2024) and a book on the relationship between fashion and philosophy with Gucci’s former creative director Alessandro Michele (_The Life of forms: Philosophy of Re-enchantment_, 2024). He co-directed animation videos such as _Quercus_ (2019, with Formafantasma) and _Heaven in Matter_ (2021). He co-curated with Olivier Saillard an exhibition on fashion (_The Many Lives of a Garment_, ITS, Trieste) _Organized by the [MS in Advanced Architectural Design program](/programs/3-m-s-advanced-architectural-design) as part of the AAD Arguments Lecture Series._
