Uriel Fogué (elii), will deliver the lecture “Guts, Ghosts, Portals, & Cannibals: From Construction Details to Ecological Contracts.” Oscar Oliver-Didier will give an introduction and will be joined by Elise Misao Hunchuck to provide a response following the presentation and host a Q&A session.
Uriel Fogué holds a PhD in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (outstanding doctoral thesis prize, academic year 2014-15; doctoral dissertation finalist at the X Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, 2016).
Since 2006, he co-directs the architecture office elii, which has been part of the Spanish Pavilion at the 18th (2023) and the 15th Venice Biennial of Architecture (2016), awarded with the Golden Lion. Two of their works have been selected for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - the Mies Van Der Rohe Award (2015, 2019). Elii won the prestigious Golden Prize Holcim Awards (2023, together with Husos and Ultrazul). Their work Yojigen Poketto was selected as one of the 20 visionary domestic spaces of the last 100 years in the exhibition ‘Home Stories 100 Years, 20 Visionary Interiors’, at the Vitra Design Museum (2020). Elii won the FAD Award (2020, 2005), and were finalist and shortlisted for the FAD Award (2017, 2018, 2020). They obtained First Prize from the Madrid College of Architects (2017); and they have also won the COAM Prize on five occasions (2018, 2016, 2013, 2011, 2006).

Kent Yang is the Co-Founder, and Chairman / President of SLP (SEA Logistic Partners), a GLP Capital Partners Limited’s (“GCP”) logistics platform in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Prior to SLP, Kent joined GLP from 2005 (at the time as ProLogis) and led its China team since GLP’s inception in 2009, he served numerous roles as GLP China Chief Operation Officer, Managing Director, and President until 2016. He is instrumental in building up and spearheading GLP’s business in China.
Kent has more than 27 years of experience in industrial real estate, including: logistics park and industrial park development; operation, and general construction of manufacturing and hi-tech industrial facilities.
