GSAPP’s Case Competition team, led by MSRED students Nikolaos Kalteziotis, Dhruv Korde, Juan Felipe Herrera with MSAAD student Nikoletta Zakynthinou Xanthi won first place in the 2025 Impact Investing in Commercial Real Estate Competition, hosted by the University of Miami Herbert Business School. Their winning proposal, “Manhattanville Impact” shapes three underutilized sites surrounding the Columbia Business School campus through mixed used development underpinned by sustainable and equitable real estate development principles.

Current MSRED and MArch Dual Degree student Anika Tsapatsaris was featured in Columbia News’ “Notebook" column. In the interview, Anika reflects on her eight years at Columbia – from her time as an undergraduate student at Columbia College and captain of the University’s fencing team to her experience as a dual-degree student at GSAPP.

“My favorite way to de-stress after a long day has always been to sit on Low Steps and watch the diversity of quotidian activities unfold. Columbia isn’t just a microcosm of the real world on a university campus; it is the real world, and very few places can claim the benefit of allowing students to both learn rigorously and live a real urban life.”
