The Resilience Accelerator team delivers “A Step Up: Los Angeles River Resilience Accelerator.”, a workshop in Los Angeles exploring new models of development and governance for City-owned properties adjacent to the Los Angeles River.

The Resilience Accelerator team and students and faculty from the GSAPP Urban Design Studio traveled to Pune, India, a city facing complex challenges related to urban growth. Together they met with local leaders working to address the core issues of flooding, erosion, and pollution around the Mula Mutha River.

The Resilience Accelerator team and students and faculty from the GSAPP Can Tho Water Urbanisms traveled to Can Tho, Vietnam to understand the challenges of a growing delta city. Together, with local leaders, they explored the climate, ecology, urbanization, agriculture, industry, and waste management in the Mekong Delta and discussed opportunities for nature-based infrastructure.

Managing Director Thaddeus Pawlowski reflects on lessons from United Nations’ Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Katowice, Poland, where he joined the World Wildlife Fund for panel discussions on the future of infrastructure planning.
