Recent graduates and students of the Urban Planning Program are prepared for a tight job market in good part thanks to the efforts of our alumni and mentors. Thanks to those of you who have counseled our students and provided advice and direction about how to present their preparation, qualifications, and skills to prospective employers.

After a successful Fall mixer at a new venue in Brooklyn, this year’s networking mixer will be held on Friday, April 17, from 7 pm to 10 pm at Sound and Fury, 141 Lawrence Street in Downtown Brooklyn, an easy connection by subway from all the boroughs and from Atlantic Terminal on the LIRR.
As in years past, the Urban Planning Program will be hosting our annual alumni reception at the National Planning Conference (NPC26) of the American Planning Association in Detroit, Michigan, on the evening of Saturday, April 25, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at BESA, 600 Woodward. We look forward to seeing many of you there and reconnecting. You can register here for the reception. Educational tracks at this year’s conference include Climate Change, Energy and the Environment, Economic Trends, Emerging and Evolving Technology, Inclusive Planning for Social Change, Upskilling for the Future, Housing Challenges and Solutions, Navigating the Political Landscape, and Transportation and Infrastructure. The conference will offer a variety of formats, from mobile workshops across the city, keynote speeches, and contact with sponsors and exhibitors. You can register here for the conference.
