For this year’s John Foerster ‘64 Fund Lecture, Jacques Herzog reflects on his New York: how the city shaped his practice (Herzog & de Meuron), and how his buildings, from Astor Place to 56 Leonard Street, have in turn reworked the skyline and the way the city is seen and lived. Jacques Herzog will be in conversation with Dean Andrés Jaque.
Preservation Lecture Series: Alberto Sánchez Sánchez (‘16 MSHP) is an architect, preservationist, and educator specializing in the intersection of historic preservation and rural development. He presents his ongoing work to restore a dilapidated seventeenth-century manor in his hometown of Used, Spain, a project of experimental preservation that repositions the discipline as a process-driven practice.
