2. Networking is always important, but using your career network during this time is crucial. Since each firm has their own approach to internship programs, try to find someone working at the firm you are interested in to talk to. The alumni office is running Tuesday Talks, which gives students the opportunity to talk to alumni. This program is a great way to work on your networking skills.
3. Searching for a job during economic uncertainty is difficult. Therefore, be prepared to send out many applications. Furthermore, everyone needs to be flexible and should consider what you will do if “Plan A” (get an internship in NYC) does not work out. Consider “Plan B” and “Plan C”, such as returning to your hometown to find an internship.
