You Are What You Read: A Feast of Short Texts

Tue, Jan 29, 2019    6:30pm

The flashing banner on the Avery Shorts website reads “to appreciate is to cite.” As much as Avery Shorts is a project in short form writing, it is also an exercise in short form reading. We want to know what you are reading! For You Are What You Read, we are asking participants to read aloud an excerpt from a book or essay they find significant, ideally in the range of 300-400 words, that can stand alone as a thought, idea, or argument.

Price of admission: 1 excerpt

Avery Shorts is a project of Columbia Books on Architecture and the City that explores short-form architectural writing through email.
