Columbia GSAPP celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Bernard Tschumi’s Parc de La Villette. A cake-made reconstruction of the park’s famous grid of red folies offered a setting to celebrate Bernard Tschumi’s work in the company of architects and architectural theorists across generations, who reflected on Parc de La Villette’s enduring relevance.

The installation and book “100 Links” by The Buell Center and AD-WO (Emanuel Admassu and Jen Wood) is on view at the Chicago Architecture Biennial.

The fifth edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial opening on September 21, 2023 features a strong representation of Columbia GSAPP affiliates.

GSAPP Faculty participate in the 18th Venice Biennale of Architecture

The 2023 Chicago Architecture Biennial features a strong representation of GSAPP Faculty and Alumni. Professor David Benjamin and the GSAPP Footprint Project collaborated with the Urban Growers Collective on a project, and the related interactive drawing by Daniel Vanderhorst (‘23 M.Arch) can be viewed online.

Columbia GSAPP works with the communities of the Bronx and Congressmember Espaillat on redesigning the Kingsbridge Armory as a hub for neighborhood empowerment.
The “Extreme Scale” exhibition in Avery Hall documents the first semester of a GSAPP-wide initiative to envision a future for the Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx, the largest armory in the United States.
