Time and Section in Architectural Representation

Tue, Jul 14, 2020    11am

Faculty Josh Uhl leads the introductory workshop Time and Section in Architectural Representation on the history, concepts, and techniques for the introduction of time into an architectural drawing.

This workshop is an introduction to the concepts and techniques for sectional and time-based analyses in architectural drawing. The section is an architect’s tool to describe and interrogate the spatial moments of our work, allowing us to analyze and understand its many potentials. The lecture/workshop will culminate in a demonstration on sectioning techniques in Rhino, and other time-based representation/analysis methods.
