3D Scanning in Architecture

Tue, Jul 28, 2020    11am

Faculty Bika Rebek leads the introductory workshop 3D Scanning in Architecture.

This lecture and workshop will explore 3D scanning as a process and its potential to drive and change design methods. With an emphasis on Photogrammetry, it gives an introduction to practical scanning methods that can be applied in everyday practice, while speculating on the possibilities of 3D scanning for the discipline at large. Participants will learn how to scan an architectural model and edit the resulting mesh for various output purposes, including 3D printing, rendering and uploading to the web.
