GSAPPXX+ 6on6

Fri, Jul 17, 2020    6pm

Throughout the summer current and incoming GSAPP students are invited to join 6on6 events hosted in the virtual 6on6 lounge by student groups.

This Friday, GSAPPXX+ will be hosting an open discussion to understand how our student organization might better serve you. We want to hear from you. What are you concerned and frustrated about? How can GSAPPXX+ help, through providing a safe space, organizing events, offering a non-academic platform for learning/unlearning together, or collaborating with other groups? How can we leverage our identities as women designers for change?

Feel free to also bring thoughts on Audre Lorde’s speech, The Uses of Anger: Women Responding to Racism. Although written 40 years ago, this might still ring true for us today.

Current and incoming GSAPP students are invited to meet in the 6on6 Virtual Lounge at 6:00 pm.

More information on GSAPPXX+ is available on their student organization page.

6on6 is a student-led organization for all current and incoming students in all programs at GSAPP. Historically, the gathering happened on the 6th floor of Avery at 6 pm on Fridays – thus the name. Although the name and time were preserved to carry on with the tradition, the location expanded to encompass venues beyond campus. With the current pandemic situation, 6on6 is still bringing everyone together through its virtual 6on6 zoom lounge. Attend to learn more about 6on6 and its collaboration with the various student organizations at GSAPP.
