Spatial User Experience and Telepresence

Thu, Aug 13, 2020    4pm

A workshop lead by Violet Whitney, Adjunct Assistant Professor.

As more of our interactions and communications take place virtually on a flat screen, how can spatial designers leverage the physicality of the space around them? How can we rethink design collaboration about space in our physical spaces (using a whole room or home rather than a tiny computer window)? This eclectic crash course will empower students and faculty to think about and experiment with a plethora of physical and digital techniques in communication, from using telepresence with sound and light, to interactive projection in our homes.

Summer workshops and programs are open to the GSAPP Community. Students and faculty can access a direct link to this program in the most recent GSAPP Newsletter or by contacting the GSAPP Events Office.
