A lecture by Alicia Glen, Founder and Managing Principal of MSquared, organized as part of the WiRED (Women in Real Estate Development) speaker series. This event is open to currently enrolled students at Columbia University.

Alicia Glen is the Founder and Managing Principal of MSquared, a women-owned real estate company that invests in and develops transformative mixed-income and mixed-use projects. As Deputy Mayor for New York City from 2014 to 2019, Alicia was also responsible for growing and diversifying the City’s economy, creating a new generation of affordable housing and overseeing the expansion of the arts, libraries, parks, and new multi-modal transportation systems. Prior this role, Alicia also served as the Head of the Urban Investment Group at Goldman Sachs, spurring more than $5 billion of mixed-use development in New York and other cities, and financing innovative public-private partnerships, including NYC’s “Citibike”, Newark’s “Teachers Village”, the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the first domestic social impact bond. Alicia also used to serve as Assistant Commissioner for Housing Finance for New York City. She is a graduate of Amherst College and Columbia Law School.
