Exhibition & Walk Through Anukruti, in association with Studio X Mumbai, is pleased to invite you to
‘Mumbai, Let’s Play!‘ , an exhibition presenting children as creators of informal playspaces in the city. The exhibition is going to be held at Studio X from March 19th - April 8th 2016.
The exhibition will present the living and playing conditions of different types of formal and informal neighbourhoods in Mumbai. It intends to provide observation and analysis of the nature of play in these neighbourhoods and present innovative methods used by children to play using simple day to day objects, materials and natural elements available on site.
The exhibition aims to bring about awareness regarding the density of children
living in informal settlements and highlight the number of safe and hygienic open spaces which are available to all children within these neighbourhoods and in Mumbai in general.
Anukruti is a non-governmental organisation which works for the development of play spaces in different neighbourhoods of Mumbai. Essentially, we build playgrounds and urban gardens in leftover spaces for disadvantaged slum children and started our activities in February 2014. Till date we have successfully installed seven
playgrounds in different parts of the city.
