Henry Taic is one of Israel’s veteran and successful luxury hotel developers and owner in excess of 2,700 hotel rooms in Israel. Some hotels are under internationally managed brands such as Hilton (Hilton Tel Aviv), InterContinental (David InterContinental Tel Aviv), Kempinski (David Kempinski Hotel and Residence Tower Tel Aviv).
Henry also heads one of Israel’s most experienced and respected hotel operation companies, Grand Hotels, managing hotels under its ownership such as the Grand Beach Hotel Tel Aviv (212 rooms), Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem (442 rooms), David Dead Sea Resort and Spa (606 rooms). Except for the Hilton and the Grand Beach, all of the hotels were constructed by Henry.
In addition, work has begun on a new hotel project of 600 rooms on the beachfront of Tel Aviv. The Hilton Group has been engaged to operate the two brands slated for the Hotel, one under the luxury LXR brand (200 rooms) and the other under the upper upscale Curio – A Collection by Hilton brand (400 rooms).
Henry’s experience conforms to his conservative business approach which have led him to become one of Israel’s leading and successful hotel developers and operators for more than three decades.
Henry is a graduate of New York University and holds a M.S.RED from Columbia University. He is married to Dr. Judith Taic (PhD, LMU Munich, LLM Taxation NYU, TEP).

The Doryan Winkelman ’86 MSRED Real Estate Development Lecture (the Winkelman Lecture) is an annual lecture for the M.S.RED Program on the topic of international real estate development. Drawing on Columbia University’s vast network of global leaders and prominent practitioners, the Winkelman Lecture brings together esteemed guests, faculty and students to introduce and examine key issues surrounding the complex demands of global urban real estate development.
The Winkelman Lecture was established in 2018 by Doryan Winkelman ‘86 MSRED.
