SPEAKERS

Abriannah Aiken received her Masters of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia GSAPP in 2022 and her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California in 2021. Her passion for architecture lies in the realm of community based activism and designing spatial justice.

Fabrizio Furiassi received his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia GSAPP in 2019, and his MArch and BSc from La Sapienza University of Rome. He also studied at the Moscow Institute of Architecture, and completed the postgraduate research program at the Strelka Institute. Fabrizio has over ten years of international experience at architecture firms and cultural institutions, including at Obra Architects and the Arthur Ross Architecture Gallery (GSAPP Exhibitions) in New York. He currently teaches architectural history/theory and design studio at Parsons The New School, is a unit tutor for the Architectural Association Visiting School in Seoul, and is a PhD candidate in architectural history at the University of Basel.

Uni(wi)fied is being developed in collaboration with Catherine Ahn (Princeton ’20). Distributed Architecture (Ahn + Furiassi) is a New York-based collaborative practice committed to designing participatory and instigative processes that bring equity, diversity, and inclusion into the built environment.

Sharon Leung is a trained architect, researcher and design strategist. She’s been researching and practicing architecture since 2009. She holds a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s of Architectural Science from Ryerson University. Sharon is second generation Chinese Canadian and grew up in Toronto, Canada.

Adam Paul Susaneck received his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia GSAPP in 2020.

Kyle Spence received his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia GSAPP in 2012 and his Bachelor of Architecture from Howard University in 2011. He is the founding principal of The BAKLab, a New York-based, concept-driven architectural design practice. He is an assistant professor of Architecture at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). He has taught at the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

Steven Corsello holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation, and Planning and a BA in economics from Amherst College. Steven sits on the board of the Center for Community Alternatives, a not-for-profit focused on reintegrative justice, and works for Gensler’s Real Estate Strategy team. He lives in Manhattan with his fiancé, Alex.

Adam Lubitz received his dual Master of Science in Urban Planning and Historic Preservation from Columbia GSAPP in 2018 and his BA in Urban Studies from New College of Florida in 2011. Now a PhD student in Architecture at UCLA, both his professional experience and academic research involves elevating historically excluded narratives.

Katherine Taylor-Hasty received her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia GSAPP in 2018 and her BA in Anthropology from Williams College in 2014. Now a PhD candidate in Architecture at UCLA, her research interests include monuments to difficult histories and the intersections between history, politics, architecture, and preservation.
