Please join GSAPP Career Services for an alumni conversation with Zack Aders ‘09 M.Arch, AIA and Senior Vice President at NYCEDC.

Zack Aders is a public architect whose leadership at NYCEDC has shaped some of New York City’s most impactful civic spaces. As Senior Vice President, he oversees a large portfolio delivering innovative buildings, resilient infrastructure, and inclusive streetscapes. His contributions include spearheading the development of the NYCEDC Circular Design and Construction Guidelines, guiding the vision for the new SPARC campus, and founding the 80x50 program to significantly reduce carbon emissions citywide.

Zack’s work champions sustainability through initiatives that promote material circularity, environmental resilience, and enhance biodiversity in the urban environment. A dedicated advocate for environmental and social equity, he exemplifies the transformative role of public architects in advancing vibrant, forward looking cities.
