Ishita Ghosh is an urban planner and designer at Design Workshop’s Austin Studio, and holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia GSAPP, where she graduated in the 2020–2021 cohort. She is an observant and curious explorer of urban fabrics across cities, with a portfolio that spans large-scale comprehensive planning and the ecological restoration of public parks. Her work reflects a thoughtful and analytical approach to understanding place across diverse contexts, with experience in comprehensive plans, downtown master plans, park master plans, unified development codes, and community planning toolkits. She focuses on translating technical and research-driven insights into clear, grounded design narratives that respond to the goals of each project.

Tarana Hafiz is an Associate and Project Manager in the Houston studio of Design Workshop, with nearly 15 years of experience in urban design and planning. Trained in architecture at the undergraduate level and a graduate of Columbia University GSAPP (2011–2012), her work spans community development, public realm design (trails, streets, parks, waterways), historic preservation, and cultural and strategic planning. Her approach centers on advancing equity in the built environment through co-creation and participatory design, translating complex ideas alongside underserved and often untapped communities into clear, implementable strategies that bridge design, policy, and community priorities. She integrates meaningful public engagement throughout her work, using data, visualization, and storytelling to make planning and design more accessible and grounded in lived experiences.
