Graphics Project: Architecture Unbound

Fri, Jan 26, 2018    6pm

Architecture Unbound kicks off a series of talks and portfolio reviews, organized for the 2018 edition of Graphics Project.

Speakers
Yeju Choi, Graphic Designer / Critic, Yale School of Art
Neil Donnelly, Founder, Neil Donnelly Studio
Alex Lin, Founder, Studio Lin
Moderated by Yoonjai Choi, Partner, Common Name / Adjunct Assistant Professor, GSAPP

Three New York-based designers—Yeju Choi, Neil Donnelly, and Alex Lin—are invited to share a selection of recent work. While active in diverse content areas, all three have experience engaging closely with architectural content, assuming multivalent roles as designer, researcher, editor, and strategist. Each speaker will present and discuss projects they have completed in collaboration with studios and institutions such as the Canadian Center for Architecture, OMA, WXY, WORKac, MOS Architects, Harvard GSD, and GSAPP. We will have the opportunity to learn about their individual methods of dealing with issues such as typography, materiality, and production, as well as the general practice of giving form to content and building a narrative through graphic design.
