Robert Louis Brandon Edwards

Robert Louis Brandon Edwards is a Doctoral Student in Historic Preservation at Columbia GSAPP. His work focuses on the preservation of narrative and material heritage associated with the Black experience as it relates to the automobile and to the built environment.

He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the State University of New York (SUNY) and a Master of Architectural History with a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Virginia (UVA). Robert is currently an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accountability, and Sustainability (IDEAS) Fellow at the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) and a Scholar-in-Residence at Voices Underground, an organization that focuses on racial healing, honest storytelling, and creative memorialization.
