The project redefines solar trackers by providing a significant advantage for renewable energy. With solar tracking, power output can increase by about 30 to 40 percent. The increase in power output promises to open new markets for solar power. A typical solar collector field contains hundreds of parallel rows of troughs connected as a series of loops. The ASC system generates steam only for EOR or for electricity generation in addition to the EOR in a combined cycle system benefiting from the high temperature obtained at the receiver. The metallic lens is composed of a set of conical reflective rings nested in a way that concentrates the solar radiation to a fixed focal point relative to the ground.
