The program aims to allow children, especially neurodiverse children, to have a free playground to enjoy themselves. The gradient pipe structure is designed to create different sensory environments such as active space (pink area) and quiet space (blue area) for children along the side of the park. Another side of the street is designed to cope with outdoor eating issues associated with restaurants. This new mixed street for children will be a prototype for open streets in NYC to arouse public awareness about neurodiverse children.
