As the idea of shopping and trade shifts from a physical to a more digital realm, stores begin to shut down and turn into warehouses, leaving empty, unused buildings behind. This project shows how these buildings can be partially recycled to create a semi-permanent enclosure or shelter for street vendors so they can perform their trade safely and comfortably. While allowing the benefit of street exposure, this enclosure provides protection from harsh weather conditions and offers the vendors a sense of privacy.
