Tribeca Bazaar

Tribeca Bazaar seeks to bring informal street food into Springs Studios that previously provided formal dining and entertainment. The idea of creating artificial islands to create new markets, terminals, and gathering spaces originated from our early studies of Ganvie, a small floating village in Africa. Utilizing the abandoned park in front of the site, a new pavilion is designed as an extension of the studio that provides public spaces and acts as a docking terminal for local food trucks. In order to give more access to the public, a wet and dry market is created in the flooded ground floor and the level above.
