The housing complex in West Harlem is conceived as three active bands of plumbing wall systems that host consistent water access and drainage points on each level. These water access points act in place of a communal hearth, cultivating a culture of shared responsibility and maintenance where utility becomes an act of conscious care for the infrastructure that keeps our bodies sheltered, healthy, and warm.
