First we extract and then we expand. 1 film + 6 still images made with Google Earth Engine show the sublime beauty of the anthropocene as a grotesque choreography, where the earth dances under our direction. Mines, farms, and cities around the world become sites of aerial study and timelapses are deployed as a tool to show the organized chaos of human intervention in the landscape.
