Our project focuses on the evolving landscape of urban green spaces, particularly within Brooklyn, New York, amidst the backdrop of burgeoning green gentrification. While the expansion of green areas is lauded for its health and sustainability benefits, it can paradoxically exacerbate existing economic and ecological disparities, leading to unintended consequences such as displacement and environmental injustice. Our research seeks to unpack these complexities by examining how the development and enhancement of green spaces in Brooklyn impact housing markets and potentially drive gentrification.
