Planning for Permanent Collective Power: Mapping Community Land Trusts in Brooklyn

This project explores how the disposition of public land could benefit the growing movement for community land trusts (CLTs), a model of collective land ownership that prioritizes local democratic stewardship and deep affordability. By mapping vulnerability and risk of community displacement within the City’s most populous and rent burdened borough, this report helps to visualize the opportunities and challenges facing CLTs in Brooklyn.
