Repairing the land, repairing the people

This thesis investigates the possibilities of healing and repair for the land and people of Potosí, Bolivia, focusing on Cerro Rico as both a site of historical trauma and extractive violence. By examining the mountain’s colonial legacy of forced labor, environmental degradation, and ongoing exploitation, this study explores how ecological restoration, cultural remembrance, and indigenous cosmologies can offer pathways toward justice and regeneration for a territory long defined by extraction.
