A small summer school of architecture operates as a residency program. A limited number of students work with scaffolding elements to explore innovative ways of constructing a lightweight, experimental system of fragmented domestic spaces and open-air lecture and dialogue settings. The scaffolding pieces are designed to click and plug into more stable, permanent platforms scattered across the island, providing a solid foundation for these abstract rooms in the landscape. Inside the island’s warehouse, fabrics and simple apparatuses are stored—easily adaptable to an improvised water system. In this way, a bathtub or a sink can be installed atop a tall structure, offering a chosen view to unfold while the objects are in use. Each group can build upon the traces of the previous one, transforming withdrawal into a collective experiment in impermanence, memory, and reimagined domesticity.
