Rockaway Beach ADU

“The project aims to illustrate what Pine tar allows the occupant to do with the space that typical interior finishes do not. Applying element resistance as an all over finish allows for radical operability and a dynamic home that responds to exterior conditions, instead of shielding from them. Pine tar’s hydrophobic and rot resistant qualities allow for peace of mind if you leave the sunroof open, and a wood structure that is easy to maintain and can push the boundaries on living in a flood zone in a constantly changing climate.
