Resilient Food Cycle: Food Security at Coney Island

This project proposes a self sustaining food system to address food insecurity in Coney Island by strengthening local production and reducing reliance on unstable supply chains. The design integrates flood resilient greenhouses, closed loop hydroponic farming, rainwater harvesting, and solar energy to ensure continuous and low impact food production. By combining on site growing, community distribution, and education spaces, the system creates a resilient circular food network that improves access to fresh food while adapting to coastal climate risks.
