Trapped in its military past, the leisure industry of Thailand is a byproduct of the RnR treaty with the US. However, for the workers of this industry, leisure is no longer leisure. AWOLand is an investigation of a resort typology that attempts to create a break from resort regimentation for the workers and protects them from the toxin of the contemporary state of rest.
