The design concept derives from the comfortable local climate and the constructivism mode of learning adopted by the client. The new learning mode no longer relies on traditional classroom space for fixed space and schedule. Instead, learning takes place informally through the active participation and social engagement of students. The informal learning practice and the moderate local climate allow the idea of turning the whole campus into an open-air studying space to happen. Programs such as cafe, library, and faculty lounge are integrated into the campus circulation to encourage social interaction and communication.
