Located in the heart of Jackson Heights, this project uses landscape, structure, and vegetation to define both a new public gathering space and private pre-k childcare facility. A living vegetation wall separates the public space from the semi-conditioned greenhouse in which the individual child care classrooms are suspended. The intermediate zone becomes a lush environment of technical and natural complexity which encourages both sensory and physical development.
