Aqua-walk explores the possibility of combining infrastructure with urban experience on Fulton Street and beyond. By holding and releasing stormwater run-off, it can effectively prevent combined sewer overflow pollution by accommodating 6 million gallons past CSO capacity. The elastic hydrogel canopy provides pedestrians with a new visual, kinesthetic, and pedagogic experience.
