As global deforestation and monoculture plantation practices put at risk the sustainable merits of lumber construction, this project proposes the natural reclamation of indigenous, bio-diverse forests, and the construction of a new urban infrastructure scaffold that will house productive urban lumber farms, commercial, leisure, and residential programming in Hong Kong. The project aims to re-imagine the relationship between forest and city, and between city and ground, by producing a new datum of productive urban life that operates between and above the existing city.
