This project expands the square footage of an existing Club by encasing the footprint and enclosure with an exoskeleton structure in order to build two additional levels. Each rectilinear volume—a vernacular waterfront form—steps out towards the Hudson River by one bay, resulting in three stacked volumes. Each volume interacts uniquely with the exoskeleton: the existing enclosure is grasped, the second level is aligned, and the third envelops.
