A large percentage of the resident demographic in NYCHA-owned public housing developments are families with young children and independent seniors. In addition, residents lack access to childcare, reliable heat/AC, and comfortable communal spaces. Through inviting shared spaces, lively playscapes, and diverse functionality, my project aims to revitalize this urban void and create a colorful safe haven that is accessible to all residents, spark an intergenerational relationship, and initiate a resident aiding response to current lack of resources.
