The project is a typological intervention that resists the impending eradication of culture and affordability due to the upzoning of Inwood. As opposed to the hermetic ground floors of private multi-family residential developments, the new public podium allows for not only spaces to extend the prevalent street culture but also the nomadic economic lives of the neighborhood.
