Re:Collection is a material processing laboratory constructed on the site of a demolition. Community members transform into architects, repurposing former building material into new forms. The lab doubles as a tool for architectural reparations. Re:Collection’s first implementation restores a portion of Lower Manhattan’s African Burial Ground back to its descendant community.
